Support / Care Worker - Domiciliary / Home care
Mid Kent
Permanent - Full Time & Part Time
£17,100+ per annum plus mileage expenses


Company/Organisation:
With partnerships with large national home care agencies and many relationships with local care organisations and charities we are continually looking for skilled Support Workers who are experienced across the domiciliary and home care sector.
We are currently working with several organisations across Medway, Maidstone and Sittingbourne who are looking to recruit skilled care workers to support the elderly, adults with learning disabilities, adults with physical disabilities, individuals who are on a rehabilitation programme following hospital discharge and other vulnerable adults within their own homes out in your local community.

Role:
As a support/care worker within these roles you will be assisting vulnerable individuals with personal and practical care, medications, domestic cleanliness, accessing the community, finances and assisting each individual to lead a more fulfilled and independent life.
Typically, in any homecare role you will be expected to assist multiple residents per day depending on individual care plans, time spent with each service user can range from 30-45 minutes up to 3 hours.
Shifts types: Earlies, AMs, Lates, PMs, split shifts, long days, waking nights and sleep-ins.

Skills/Experience required:
In order to be successful, you should be passionate about providing a high level of care, dedicated to your role as a support worker and have the ability to offer kindness and compassion.

* A minimum of 6 months experience within a similar care setting in the last 2 years
* Must have experience as a loan worker, supporting individuals in their own homes
* Be flexible to travel - driving licence and own transport is preferable due to the nature of the role
* Be flexible in your availability - communicate clearly what days / shifts you can work
* Experience with providing support and care to adults or children
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 are desirable but not vital.
* Having a DBS already signed up to the update service is a great advantage
