Reed Facilities are looking for a Quality Manager on a minimum of 6 months maternity contract based in Cranbrook.

A varied role, reporting to the Technical Manager, the QA Manager interacts at many levels of the company, and works closely with Production, NPD, Laboratory and Marketing. Primary responsibilities include responding to and coordinating customer queries and requests, auditing, and involvement with the development of the management system.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:


Customer Support
• Completion of customer specifications, either using an in-house format, or customers bespoke systems.
• Completion of customer supplier questionnaires.
• Management customer complaints involving investigation and response to complaints.
• Dealing with of general customer queries.


Factory Support
• Regular liaison with production and assistance with technical issues.
• Assistance with the management of the QC team.
• QC checks on certain finished products, when necessary.
• Inspections of the production areas, when necessary.
• Conduct factory trials and investigations.


Product Development
• Weekly NPD Assessment team.
• Assist the NPD co-coordinator with sensory evaluation.
• Provide support to the NPD function with product launches.
• Assistance with NPD process e.g. nutrition calculation, artwork assessment.


Technical Support
• Member of the HACCP review team.
• Co-ordination of external audits and completion of NCR’s.
• Management of supplier raw ingredient specifications.
• Updating and issuing of records and procedures.
• Control of the labelling system.
• Involvement with internal and customer initiated traceability exercises.
