TRADE COUNTER / SHOP SUPERVISOR

Blewers Timber is a successful independent quality merchant based in West Kingsdown, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team in a full-time position.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a full time Trade Counter / Shop Supervisor, this includes dealing directly with customers. This is a key customer facing role. the most important skill is the ability to provide great customer service. Merchandising the shop, stock control, administration.
What will you be doing?
· You will deal directly with trade and retail customers.
· Checking orders in and out of shop
· Ordering for the shop
· Dealing with sales rep’s, new products
· Maintaining the shop in a professional manor
· Using tills, computers, telephones etc.
The requirements
· The ability to provide great customer service, build and maintain relationships with different customers. A friendly, outgoing, articulate customer focused personality. Experience in the retail sector and shop management.
· Industry and product knowledge essential (training will be provided)
· Numerate and literate
· The ability to work well in a team, to take and follow instruction whilst maintaining independent motivation.
· To always operate in a safe manor ensuring compliance with all legal and security requirements AT ALL TIMES.
· professional at operating computer-based trading system, credit card machines and telephones.
· Lift truck licence beneficial (can provide training)
Job Type.
· Full-time, Permanent
Hours of work.
· Monday to Friday 7:30 to 17:00
· Alternate Saturdays 8:00 to 13:00
· Work remotely - no

· Generous pension scheme after probation period.
Salary.
· £28,000 to £34,000 per year (depending on experience).
