If the answer is yes, then we could have the position for you!
We are currently looking to recruit on behalf of our Ashford based client a Trainee Test Engineer to work on a full time, temporary to permanent basis.
On a day to day, you will receive full training on the below duties until you are fully competent.
* Programming PCBs and PICs (programmable integrated circuits) using a PC
* Programming finished units for testing purposes using custom software on a PC
* Removal of data from tested units using custom software on a PC
* Test and possible fault finding to component level on basic PCBs
* Using various test equipment ie multimeters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters and custom test equipment
* Using a PC to view all of test procedures and circuit diagrams
* Using a soldering iron and hand tools
Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 08.00hrs - 16.45hrs and 08.00hrs - 12.30hrs on a Friday.
Full training will be given but would benefit from someone who has an interest in electronics
