Our client, a leader in the waste management industry, are looking to bring on board a new team of agency refuse loaders to serve the local residents and businesses, supporting the collection of waste.

Shifts are offered on an ad hoc basis, with the most reliable and effective refuse loaders receiving up to 5 days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with a large and well know company - working hard can, and has for many, lead to full time placements and/or permanent work.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and Bank Holidays, paid at time-and-a-half and double-time respectively. Overtime hours are also paid at time-and-a-half. Start times are between 06:00am and 06:30am, with shifts averaging between 7.5 and 10 hours in length (this means finish times will vary depending on the route you are on).

About you:
You should be hard-working, energetic, enthusiastic and customer facing.
You should enjoy physical work as you will be covering large areas on foot, undertaking repetitive manual handling throughout the round.
Reliable and flexible, able to be called on at short notice and reach the depot in good time when needed.
Happy working outside in all weathers, handling waste.
Comfortable speaking to the general public, representing the company and local council well.
Knowledge of the Waste Management industry is beneficial but not essential - all training can be given to those with the right motivation and attitude.

More detail on the job:
You will be loading bins and loose waste in to the back of a dustcart.
Covering large areas on foot.
Working within Health and Safety protocols at all times, keeping yourself, your colleagues and the general public safe whilst carrying out your duties.
Pay rates start at £9.21 per hour and increase to £9.72 per hour after you have successfully completed 12 weeks of placements. Overtime and Saturdays are paid at time-and-a-half, whilst Bank Holidays are paid at double-time.
This is a temporary agency placement, although the most successful candidates do tend to receive ongoing work and have the opportunity to earn permanent contracts over time.
Holiday entitlement is 28 days per year, pro rata
