You will be part of our Aspirations team, using community engagement (both real and virtual), educational and training opportunities to support people with poor mental health who are unemployed and geographically or socially isolated.

You will help them build confidence, develop emotional resilience and learn new skills. Doing so will provide them a pathway to work and volunteering opportunities.

This role involves helping participants identify personal goals and providing support that enables them to achieve these by improving their wellbeing, helping them engage with the community, and take part in creative projects and events. Part of the role may be to help people move towards and into employment.

Our Aspirations service is a Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project funded by the European Social Fund and the Lottery Community Fund.

The role requires:
- Good communication and people skills
- Experience of facilitating people to take part in projects, events and activities, including virtually
- Experience of giving one-to-one support to people who experience poor mental health
- Experience of working collaboratively with other organisations
- A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).

Interview date: 7th July 2021
Contract: Fixed term until 31st December 2022
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required
