About the role: Leigh Academies Trust has a rare opportunity and are seeking to appoint an Estates Controller to work across our 29 academies, joining the team as soon as possible. As a leader within the central Estates management team you will strategically lead Soft FM contracts and a team of Cluster Estates Managers in maintaining a compliant and sustainable estate whilst driving income generation initiatives. The Estates Controller will enable each academy to efficiently and effectively maximise facilities and resources, and achieve the best possible educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities include the following;

Lead on procurement and strategic management of Soft FM services including, but not limited to cleaning and catering;
Line management of Cluster Estates Managers;
Support the Estates Director in the creation, maintenance and communication of centralised processes and procedures.
Develop and maintain data led analytics and monitoring of Estates department deliverables;
CEO for LAT Enterprises CIC;
Lead on Trust events and special projects;
Support members of the Trust Executive Board and other Estates department colleagues in all aspects of the Trust’s strategic direction.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering a salary circa £50,000 per annum and is commensurate with experience.

The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.
