Steve Marsh Design have designed signs for prestige clients all over the UK and throughout the world, specializing in Bespoke Signage. Which includes, Fire signage and corporate branding, wayfinding systems and estate monoliths.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform manual work in the fabrication, assembly, installation of signs.
Employees in this position operate various hand tools, machinery, and computers and associated equipment in the preparation of signage, also, light equipment in the transportation and placement of signage.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates computer and related software to prepare signage layout.

• Prepares sign surfaces; apply lettering to signage.

• Operates a variety of hand held equipment and machinery in the installation of signage, e.g., power saw, sander, sockets, drill, ratchet.

• Erects signs.

• Perform the duties required of an Equipment Operator.

• Cleans and maintains tools, machinery and equipment.

• Cleans and maintains company vehicle

• Assists in performing inventory of purchased signs; participates in ordering materials and sundry supplies for the workshop.

• Coordinates activities with other departments and work groups as needed.

• Performs related duties as directed.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain a clean, valid, Full Driver's License.
PASMA certified and advantage, can be trained.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Knowledge of the safe and proper use and care of manual, electrical powered tools and equipment used in the assigned functional area.

• Ability to read and interpret various documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and related documentation.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with other employees and the public.

• Ability to work independently to carry out assignments to completion.

• Ability to perform duties with a professional and cooperative work ethic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to lift, move or carry objects; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; utilize feet and legs or hands and arms; maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, or navigating narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces; bend body downward and forward by bending spine and legs; move about on hands and knees or hands and feet; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and to reach with
Hands and arms.
