Recruitment Solutions has been instructed to assist our client with the urgent recruitment of a Safeguarding Specialist.

A pay rate between £14.03 - £16.09 per hour is available, depending on experience and qualifications which is the equivalent of approximately £27K - £31K
The role is a permanent position but would start on a temporary basis, transferring to permanent after successful completion of an initial 12 weeks.

The role is placed within Strategy/Health/Wellbeing and Partnerships service area/team and reports to the Health, Wellbeing & Partnerships Senior Specialist.
The main objective of this position is to assist the Senior Specialist in ensuring all corporate requirements to enable the Council to meet its safeguarding responsibilities are adequately discharged.
We are therefore looking for an individual with 2/3 years experience in the safeguarding field.
Knowledge of the legislation impacting on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and drivers influencing safeguarding.
Knowledge of the statutory role of partner agencies in the safeguarding field.
Effective time management skills.
Experience of working in a multi-agency partnership environment.
In depth knowledge of information sharing processes, human rights, and data protection.
Experience of writing clear and concise reports appropriate for the intended audience]
Experience of delivering safeguarding training.

A Safeguarding qualification is desirable.
