Location: Sittingbourne, Kent UK

Core Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts for two subsidiaries and consolidation for the group
• VAT returns
• Bank reconciliations
• Purchase ledger including payment runs
• Processing expenses
• Ad hoc projects as required

Required Experience:

• AAT qualified or equivalent
• A loyal and skilled finance assistant who can work independently, with a strong understanding and all-round exposure to the accounting principles
• Strong communication skills – in person and written - and experience of building effective relationships
• Strong IT skills with advanced Excel a must, including V Lookups and pivot tables
• Self-motivated with a drive to achieve
• Strong time management, organisational and planning skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience with China suppliers, desirable but not essential.
