Play-Workers Required
After-School Club
Term Time only
15 hours per week (3pm-6pm each day)
Immediate start or 1st September will be considered

Saltwood Play and Learning Centre is a registered charity with a team of up to 15 staff operating from the grounds of Saltwood School and offering outstanding childcare for nursery and school age children during term time.

The successful candidates will be expected: –

 to work up to a maximum of 15 hours per week between the hours of 3pm and 6pm during the week in term time (38 weeks per year).

 to have some experience in play-work or childcare but not necessarily through paid employment.

 to be proactive, enthusiastic and have excellent communication and IT skills.

 to have at least GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C).

 to complete a full induction programme and any training courses that are required.

• Free childcare may be provided within the after-school club to the right candidates if required. Flexible hours will be considered.
• Further opportunities for working in our other services (e.g. breakfast club, and nursery) may become available for the successful
candidates.
• We offer full support to our staff for further education and training if they wish to pursue professional qualifications.
• Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
