Parking and Vehicle Attendant
William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent
37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work)
£18,184 per annum

We are looking for a Parking and Vehicle Attendant to join our team based at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.
This varied role involves being responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Trust car parks and associated equipment, ensuring the safety of all users, and compliance with payment systems and policies.
Other duties include:
· Providing a courteous and informative service to any customers (patients, visitors, staff) who require assistance or have any queries, including directions around the site
· Monitoring and maintaining barrier devices and pay machines, involving planned preventative maintenance, diagnostic checks and investigation, and first-line trouble-shooting of hardware issues
· Supporting with the sales of parking permits, ensuring an excellent level of customer service and being responsible for cash management
· Undertaking patrols on site to detect and deal with occasions of non-compliance, using judgement and real-time awareness of activity and pressures on the site to take appropriate action
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous or current work experience in a customer service or customer-facing role
· The ability to communicate clearly with a variety of audiences
· A clean and valid driving licence, with access to their own vehicle
· The ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a calm and professional manner
· Excellent customer service skills
You must be proactive and happy to be outside working in all weathers.
It would be advantageous if you have prior experience working within an enforcement role
