Standex Electronics UK Ltd is part of the Standex Electronics group specialising in the manufacture of electronic components and sensors. Due to continual growth and investment we are currently looking to recruit an Electronics Engineer.
The role will be to develop new and maintain existing, equipment used in-house to manufacture and test our products. The individual must work well within a small team environment.
It is important to note that this is a hands-on role, requiring a self-motivated and focused individual and will sometimes include production support, where working under tight time pressure will be involved.
Duties and Experience required:
Design of electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment, resulting in a full set of documentation, including circuit diagram, parts list, board layout, test specifications, etc.
The candidate will require a thorough understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
Ownership of the full design cycle, from initial concept through to the maturation of the equipment, resulting in final up-dated documentation.
Testing of prototype boards, confirming conformance to original requirements.
Diagnosis of faults on electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
Supervising the construction, testing and integration of new equipment.
Advanced electronic and electro-mechanical equipment testing.
Calibration of electrical equipment.
Experience that would be advantageous, but not essential:
Circuit design and programming of systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Industrial electrical installation.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
Calibration procedures and principles.
Basic knowledge of pneumatic principles and systems.
Qualifications required:
A Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
Conditions:
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Standex Electronics offers a contributory pension scheme, performance related bonus and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
