Estates Officer Maintenance Operative.

Salary £21,713 to £25,803 Per annum.
Your new company
An Education facility with a number of campuses across SE London. As an award winning further education college they are looking for talented people to join them. Your new role Reporting to the Estates Lead Manager the company are looking for an Estates Officer top join them.
Your new role
The role will see you undertake the Maintenance repairs and compliance activities to the buildings/sites.
You will respond to emergencies and make investigations into the issues that have arisen, i.e loss of gas, electrical power and lighting.
Assist in the management of heating, air conditioning and other ventilation.
Coordinate and direct 3rd Party service providers.
Carry out tests and checks to fire alarm systems, fire fighting equipment and emergency lighting, together with other aspects of compliance.
Be a Key holder and act to support all matters relating to the security of the sites.
Undertake caretaking and other housekeeping duties.
The post will require a flexible working pattern to ensure that the service is fully accessible according to site opening times. Normal working hours would fall between 5.30am to 10pm Monday to Friday with some weekend openings during the year. The evening and weekend work would be shared on a rota basis.
What you'll need to succeed
Health & Safety Qualification (Level 2 or Above) or a willingness to work towards this.
Experience of boilers and other plant room equipment.
Knowledge of electrical circuits and distribution systems.
Skilled in Decorating, Carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance.
Ability to respond to emergency situations, in a calm and thoughtful manner.
