A growing practice of Ashford Accountants in is looking for an additional Bookkeeper to join the team. In this role, you will be working on a mix of bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts and payroll for a range of clients.

The bookkeeping will involve working with client records on cloud-based packages and completing accounts to trial balance level
VAT returns will be for standard and flat-rate clients
Completion of monthly or quarterly management accounts and financial reports
Collation, entry and completion of client payroll on a weekly and monthly basis, processing deductions or allowances. Year-end reporting and HMRC returns.
As an experienced member of the team, you will also be supervising and training junior staff members.

To be considered for this Bookkeeper vacancy, previous work experience gained with an accountancy practice is essential. Ideally, you should have a working knowledge of Sage, Xero, or other client accounting/ bookkeeping packages.

Candidates should be at the latter stages of their AAT/ ICB qualification or have gained valuable bookkeeping experience.
The over-riding factor is an interest in providing high-quality service to clients.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week (8.30 PM – 5.00 AM). There may be flexibility in the working hours.
Staff are currently working from home but will return to the office once the situation allows.
You will require your own transport as visiting client premises is part of the job role. There is car parking available at the office.
