Working for a large recruitment business you will be responsible for all finance matters relating to the division as a member of the Divisional SMT.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Financial Reporting including 3 year rolling plan, budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly management reports and year end reporting with variance analysis, bridge, written commentary, risks and opportunities sensitivities and KPIs.
* Statutory reporting for Recruitment JVs and provision of full financial services wrap to JV LLPs.
* Track margin variations and trends, analyse, assess and make proposals to improve business performance.
* Divisional capital expenditure reporting including project cost control and capex forecasts.
* Financial impact analysis for all divisional planning and strategic changes.
* Support for Investment business cases and subsequent cost benefit analysis.
* Manage working capital including A/R, Stock, A/P, optimising cash flow.
* Financial accounting and internal and external audit queries and support.
* Providing financial guidance and support to the transactional teams dealing with sales invoicing, supplier invoicing, self-billing and credit control.
* Provide the financial lead on the implementation and development of operational systems and change updates.
* Support procurement and business improvements initiated both centrally and by division.
* Ensure corporate governance & legislative and HMRC compliance is in place and maintained to the highest standards.
* Apply financial policies to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of divisional Income statements, balance sheets and cash flow.
* Support key commercial tenders working with key accounts team and providing prudent pricing tools.
* Review, support and challenge annual pricing reviews. Provide impact analysis, sensitivities and options.
* Help identify synergies and work diligently to best practice at all times.
* Provide leadership for a small team of finance specialists including support, guidance, training and development and general staff management responsibilities to optimise the performance of the team.

It is essential that you are a qualified accountant with considerable post qualification experience. You will have experience in a FBP role in a £20m+ businesses & can demonstrate strong commercial experience. You will be fully conversant with all aspects of financial and management reporting, analysis, KPIs trend and margin analysis with significant senior financial management experience. Extensive modelling experience & sensitivity analysis is required as is a strong systems background.

The role requires the:

* Ability to think operationally and commercially and understand the financial implications of operational decisions and challenge when necessary.
* Ability to identify the key risks and opportunities that impact the performance of the division.
* Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis, benchmarking, cost benefit analysis, modelling.
* Strong communication skills. Able to present information and analysis in a clear concise manner, with constructive and meaningful evidence to support change. Comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
* A strategic and enquiring mind, able to present creative solutions to complex problems, comfortable challenging the status quo where necessary.
