We are passionate about our team at Childrensalon and are now looking for a new Senior People Manager, to continue to provide the very best support, guidance and People team service throughout the company.
Responsibilities:
- To provide the very best HR Generalist service companywide. Including talent aquisition, pay and benefits, employee engagement and
wellbeing.
- To continuously build upon the services, tools and channels the department currently provides and ensure our people processes are agile,
keep pace with our growth and are forward thinking.
- Advise and support Senior Managers on all People issues.
- Manage and support the career development of the People team.
- Oversee our companywide Learning & Development programme, providing guidance and support and ensuring alignment across the
company.
- Oversee the maternity process and workflow, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure the HR Management Information System is maintained to a high standard, is up to date, compliant and future focused with regards to
reporting and People analytics.
- Ensure all People team systems, records and processes are up to date, compliant and joined up.
- Support the People team Director on all employment law and compliance issues and ensure the Employee Handbook, Policies, Employment - Contracts and all letters are prepared with accuracy and adhere to best practice at all times.
- Consult with People team Director on employee issues related to workplace relations and performance management. Provide advice and
support with policies, procedures and legislation.
- Provide support with the accurate and timely delivery of the companywide monthly payroll, collaborating with the Banking & Payroll
Accountant.
- Be available and approachable to counsel all employees and offer support and guidance, with empathy, kindness and discretion.
- Uphold the Childrensalon values and ensure that the People team processes and workflows support these too.
- Provide support to the Recruitment Manager with the recruitment process from supporting and advising senior managers and departments, -
negotiating terms and conditions of employment and approving all employment contracts, providing guidance and support throughout.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years, CIPD level 5 qualification desirable but not essential.
- Thrive working in a collaborative way, with strong team working and people skills.
- Able to work with discretion and integrity at all times.
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise and re-prioritise regularly in a reactive environment, whilst maintaining a future focus.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to deal with difficult conversations with patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
This role is based at our Head Office in Tunbridge Wells, however, due to the current Coronavirus pandemic will require flexibility and some working from home.
