Assistant Accountant | Remote Working | Up to £30,000

This fast-growing consultancy business operates across Europe and America and they have an immediate requirement for a permanent Assistant Accountant to join them. You will be working virtually and probably expect to do so permanently with meetings in the office (most likely in London).

This is an ideal opportunity for a professional individual to be comfortable working both at a detailed transactional level and summary level to manage all financial aspects of a significant client portfolio, working effectively and proactively with client delivery team as their finance business partner

Position Responsibilities
• Raising sales invoices and processing of project related costs such as staff timesheets, expense claims and contractor invoices
• Project accounting entries for accrued and deferred income and cost accruals
• Review and co-ordinate the production of monthly project accounts and commentary including flash revenue, project profitability, revenue and gross profit forecasting, weekly work in progress and overdue debtors’ reports.
• Support to ensure contracts and purchase orders are in place and effectively managed
• Oversight of credit control and minimising work in progress
• Input to continuous improvement cycle for our newly implemented accounting software as we move to real time reporting and forecasting

Position Requirements
• Professional services background
• Business Partner - excellent communicator, with both internal and external colleagues at all levels
• Strong management accounting skills – attention to detail and ability to work and deliver to deadlines
• Part qualified or QBE
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small virtual team
• Good working knowledge of VAT regulation - UK and EU for services
• MS Business Central user
• Comfortable working remotely
