Hadden Consultants is acting as the recruitment agent for a busy Construction consultancy in Kent is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to join its growing team.

Our client is an independent company providing Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy services to the Construction Industry.

About the role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager, you’ll be working closely with the company’s Directors, as well as undertaking your own contracts adhering to client’s budgets, offering client's the best value and best quality.

You will be responsible for liaising with the client and be the main point of contact for delivering the project. Duties will include preparing cost plans and tender documentation, contract documents and monthly valuations, final accounts as well as undertaking Project Management tasks as and when required. You will work within a team but will be given autonomy to work directly with clients providing an excellent all-around role.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to drive the company forward and take on responsibilities to ensure client satisfaction. Someone who has a thorough attention to detail, with the experience and knowledge of cost planning, payment valuations, bill of quantities, estimating, final account production, and Project Management tasks as required.

Our ideal individual will be happy to work off their own initiative and be able to offer a high level of output with little supervision.

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager who has a proven track record working for a Client and/or the Main Contractor. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has the knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas;

NVQ Level 4, HND, Degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 6 years’ surveying experience
Excellent knowledge of Contract Law and Contract preparation
Mixed sector experience
Strong time management and assertiveness
Experience in a client-facing role(s)
Health & Safety awareness
Presenting monthly financial reports
Perfect time management and project management skills
