With over 150 employees, we are dedicated and committed to offering our Customers high quality products with excellent after sales service support from our experienced teams of Regional Sales Managers, Field Based Service Engineers and In-house Repair Centre Technicians.

Job Summary

The In-house Repair Centre Team continues to see substantial growth in the equipment repairs sector. Due to this increase, we are seeking to recruit a new team member to join us as an Instrument Sharpening Technician, who would maintain all aspects of our Customer’s sharpening requirements.
Experience in this field would be useful, however full training can be provided to an appropriate candidate who possesses good general practical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities & Duties

The main responsibilities of this role involve managing all aspects of the instrument sharpening service, including, but not limited to:

Inspect, assess and sharpen the equipment in accordance with method statement
Test full functionality upon sharpening to ensure quality assurance standards are met and achieved
Ensure each item is prepared and re-packaged for secure despatch and invoice processing
Provide regular updates on the job status to key service personnel throughout the sharpening life cycle
Stock management of consumables
Periodically carry out corrective maintenance work on sharpening equipment during high volume repair periods




Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate would ideally have:

Experience in instrument sharpening, but full training can be provided to the right candidate
Excellent practical skills with notable attention to detail
Competence with the ability to organise, self-motivate and effectively time manage
Possess good interpersonal communication, both verbally and written
