If you have experience of working in a busy, process-driven office role and you can demonstrate excellent customer service skills, this administrative post could be a great opportunity for you to broaden your skills in the innovative International Programmes department at the University of Kent.
The position is part-time, 21 hours per week, and will involve providing effective administrative support to the team and on a variety of programmes and courses, allowing you to build your experience and understanding of supporting a diverse and international customer base.
As Administrative Support Assistant you will:
- provide efficient and high quality administration support to facilitate the smooth running of the Centre’s programmes and courses, including database work
- act as the point of contact for students and staff on a range of programmes and courses, proactively managing enquiries and covering reception
- provide support with promoting programmes and courses and attend events
To be successful in this role you will have:
- GCSE level at Grade A-C/9-4 in English and Maths, or equivalent
- proven office experience gained in a high volume, busy, process-driven working environment
- an ability to deal with conflicting demands and to manage fluctuating workloads
- accuracy and attention to detail
The International Programmes department provides high-quality and market-responsive in-house international pathways to Kent degrees, as well as a variety of pre-sessional and other foundation degrees and international summer schools to enhance opportunities for staff and students, as well as the University’s international reputation.
