This is an exciting long term temporary placement for a Junior Buyer (for approximately 4 months) and is ideal for someone who already has some degree of purchasing/procurement experience who is looking to take on a great development opportunity within a professional Procurement Team with an established global manufacturing client, in the area.

The role will include some working from home as well as within the office.

The role itself:
As a procurement team member, you will be required to assist and support the team with projects and daily operational activities and reporting to develop effective business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.

What we are looking for in an individual:
We are searching for someone ambitious with an entrepreneurial spirit who is highly motivated and committed to results.
Additional skills we are seeking:
Knowledge of procurement techniques who can routinely apply this knowledge to projects.
Focus, a driven negotiator who applies the various styles and techniques of negotiation as appropriate.
A strong team player with a proactive approach to vendor management.
Someone who can delivers saving/added value from identified projects.
The ability to challenge, interpret and document highly complex customer requirements.
Experience of working on multiple projects of varying complexities simultaneously.
Good project management skills, written and verbal communication skills and meeting management skills combined with excellent presentation skills.
Provides a significant contribution to global procurement initiatives.
Excellent IT skills on Windows and especially Excel
Any knowledge of using SAP useful.
French language skills could be helpful but not considered mandatory

Main responsibilities:
Support the commercial relationship between the Project Management Office & Procurement
Support project team and external suppliers on RCF (Rapid Commercialization Projects) so that customer needs are met, whilst maintaining effective business relationships with suppliers and customers.
Assist in data input to maintain and manage trackers to create accurate KPI for the team
Manage European Rejects & Complaints issues for the portfolio in charge as well as COPQ recovery (Cost of poor Quality)
Provide excellent customer service to internal customers
Own the supplier Monitoring process and reporting
The role involves strong teamwork:
Participate as a team member providing support and sharing of information.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues both internal and external to the organization.
Initiate discussions with other teams or departments to manage the resolution/response to issues or problems with supplier performance.
