A growing Facilities Management company are looking for an Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join our highly valued team.
Our company is a single point of contact for commercial clients with planned, reactive and large project works.
The hours for the position are Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm.
We are preferably looking for a candidate with previous experience and with knowledge of Xero.
The position will involve reporting to the Finance Manager.
The responsibilities will include sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger and assisting with the month end process.
Detail of Duties:
Prepare sales invoices to be sent to clients.
Input sales invoices to Xero and Invoice Discounting
Liaise with Invoice Discounting, resolving any queries or disputes which may arise.
Liaise with Invoice Discounting to chase client payments.
Process cheque payments received ready for banking.
Input supplier invoices and payments onto Xero.
Liaise with suppliers to advise of payment dates.
Provide purchase ledgers, statements and remittance advices.
Maintain correct filing for all account invoices and paperwork.
Provide general administrative support to Finance Manager.
Various other accounting duties
The candidate should:
Have previous experience of working in a finance role.
Be a hard-working individual with the desire to maintain and improve upon high standards.
Ability to deal with challenging situations.
Have an accurate and methodical approach to work.
Will be able to meet deadlines and prioritise work.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
AAT Level 2 accounting diploma
Must have experience of Accounts packages Xero
Competent computer user
Professional and competent manner
