Are you a strong leader with an interest in IT and digital solutions? Do you have excellent communication, project and partner/stakeholder management skills? If so, read on!

We are looking for a Digital Inclusion Manager to lead SEK’s growing digital programmes, helping individuals to gain in confidence and ability, and to maximise their social, creative and learning potential. This has become especially crucial during the current COVID pandemic as it has never been more important to be able to interact with the outside world especially if shielding or self-isolating for health reasons.

You will be at the heart of realising Social Enterprise Kent’s social mission through the effective delivery of projects and management of partner relationships. Analytical and inquisitive, you will draw on research, evidence and learning to develop projects and models of delivery that change people’s lives. A natural leader, you will be able to manage a team of staff and volunteers, providing clear direction to ensure we achieve our aims and objectives. You will be self-motivated, keen to learn, highly organised and practically minded.

You will have a good knowledge of digital skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with people of varied ability and ages. You should be able to explain how to use computers, programmes and apps in a plain down to earth manner. Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to undertake required training are also crucial to this role.

Social Enterprise Kent has established itself over the recent past as one of the main social enterprise bodies in Kent, giving advice to many charities and budding enterprises, and running training and employment services. We are a passionate believer in the power of social enterprise to effect positive change in our communities, and the importance of partnership working in all sectors.

Location: Working predominantly from our Ashford, Margate and/or Folkestone offices, with some remote working. You will need to travel as part of this role.

Main duties will include;

- Helping to shape and contributing to the delivery of Social Enterprise Kent’s Digital Inclusion Programme, identifying the actions SEK will take to maximise its impact on digital exclusion.
- Identifying new opportunities and securing new income that enables Social Enterprise Kent to increase its impact.
- Representing SEK at digital committees and with external stakeholders.
- Delivery of training, support and digital inclusion programmes to vulnerable people.
- Delivery of SEK’s funded projects to the highest quality standards, overseeing the development and delivery of projects across the different specialist teams in SEK whilst maintaining positive and productive working relationships with funding partners.
- Recruiting and supervising a bank of Digital “Buddies” or volunteers, and overseeing this project.
- Timely and accurate reporting to line manager
- Dealing with customer, partner and stakeholder enquiries
- Supporting continuous improvement on the project team and quickly adapting to changes.
- Cross working within all Social Enterprise Kent activities.
