HR Manager
Full-Time Permanent Position
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading firm of Solicitors in Kent
The successful candidate will be encouraged to significantly contribute to strategic planning and will contribute to the effective delivery of the client’s strategic objectives.
Working closely with the managing partner and heads of departments, you will develop and maintain HR and employee relations, best practice and staff engagement.
Key responsibilities
• Leadership of the HR function and management of team
• Management of Administration team
• Develop and implement HR actions plans
• Managing recruitment ensuring that my client has an excellent recruitment operation aligned with my client’s brand to ensure that they are able to recruit the best people.
• Manage the on-boarding for all new starters.
• Assist with maintaining and implementing HR policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist with remuneration decisions and ensure consistency of approach and fairness across the board
• Manage the company's development, training, performance management and career progression processes providing information, data and guidance to the management committee to enable effective planning and decision making
• Development plans for staff engagement, wellness and retention strategies
• Provide reporting from HR systems and provide analysis as necessary identifying areas of concern and guidance on solutions
• Provide guidance to the managing partner and heads of department on HR related issues including exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience
• Ideally the successful candidate will have HR manager (or similar) experience within a law firm although candidates with a non-legal background will be considered.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and a people person. An ability to work at a high level to assist with developing strategy but also being very hands on as working within a small team.
• Ideally level 5 CIPD qualified
