We have an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced Customs Clerk Manager to join our international client, opening their brand-new office in Folkestone.
This is a rare opportunity for a Customs Clerk Manager to join an expanding business where you will work closely with the management team to set up and lead a Customs Clearance department.
Day to day duties will include;
management of the company’s imports and exports on truck and sea, from or via the EU
Overseeing the implementation AEOC procedures, including auditing the procedures for Folkestone
Managing and maintaining existing freight and operational systems in accordance with company policy
Process import/export entries and IPAFF’s entries for EU trucks as required
Working with the Commercial Manager to put work procedures in place
Managing customer SOP’s
Managing legislative requirements for import and export cargo
Handling customs communication and HM Customs visits
Liaising with DEFRA
Implementing and managing Port Health High Risk procedures
Reporting deviations / non-conformances
As the right Customs Clearance Clerk Manager for this role, it is essential you have perishable customs knowledge. MulitFreight experience would be an advantage.
You will have proven experience of managing a team and be a clear and effective communicator. Additional languages are not required but would be a plus. A driving licence is required for the role.
We are offering a generous salary plus company pension and 28 days holiday including bank holidays. Hours are Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00, some overtime may be required.
