Our client is a leading insurance company based in Sevenoaks. Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, the role is to provide excellent 1st and 2nd line technical support to office based and remote users of their systems. You will be the first point of contact for incidents, faults and a range of service requests.



In addition to a solid technical background, excellent communication skills are paramount, as you will have extensive liaison with internal and external clients.

The role will require some travel to other sites in the UK (London and Leeds), however a driving license is not essential.



You will have experience in a similar support role in a professional environment where you will have acquired a thorough working knowledge of;



• Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10)

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

• Capability to support users of bespoke applications.

• Network infrastructure

• Telephony systems.



Desirable

• Some experience of CISCO networking and Avaya IP telephony solutions in particular is desirable.

• An understanding of ITIL best practice and/or experience of working with ISO27001 including developing, documenting and implementing information security policies would be beneficial

• Experience of case management and workflow systems is desirable but not essential



You will possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with a strong attention to detail. You must also be able to demonstrate initiative, drive and have a pro-active approach to your work and to resolving problems. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast paced and increasingly fluid environment are essential.



Hours of Work



Hours of work: 8.45am to 5.30pm *Some cover outside of these hours may be necessary on an ad hoc basis in accordance with business requirements.
