Two vacancies have arisen for Compliance Officers in Mid Kent Revenues and Benefits Partnership (MKS). MKS is an innovative shared service model and the Fraud & Compliance function is delivered on behalf of Maidstone Borough Council, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Swale Borough Council.

The successful candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills. The post holders will be responsible for referring suspected fraud cases, following up Data Matches, and keeping accurate records of results. They will deal with ad hoc enquiries, performance statistics and respond to requests for information from outside agencies.

This role is customer-facing and the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential element of the role.

The post holder needs to be flexible and methodical in their approach as the work is quite varied.
To be successful, the candidates will be expected to hold as a minimum, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English and be IT literate. Experience or knowledge of Housing and Council Tax Reduction Scheme, and Council Tax and Business Rates would be desirable. This is a career graded post with progression available dependant on knowledge and experience.
These positions are full time (37 hours per week), one offered on a permanent contract and another on a one year fixed term contract working from our office in Maidstone.
