We have over 20 years experience in the food business and currently produce a range of quality products for the retail and foodservice industry from seven high-tech factories.

About the role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled, or Electrically biased Engineers to join our fast-growing team and business based in Sheerness.

You will be responsible for carrying out both mechanical and electrical repairs and planned maintenance on a variety of manufacturing machinery and equipment, such as Laminators which make pastry, depositors which add fillings, baggers and carton erectors that make our products look great on a supermarket shelf and weighers or metal detectors that ensure our products meet our high standards – So there is a whole range of equipment that the right person can make sing for us!

Your duties will include :

· Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime

· Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding

· Complete PPM tasks, equipment servicing and overhauls

· Get involved in continuous improvement actions across the site

· Assist our apprentices in their learning and development

· Help train machine operators in how to get the most from their equipment

· Complete maintenance logs, so that trends can be identified and breakdowns prevented

This role will suit candidates who have worked in a manufacturing environment before (it’s brilliant if that’s food production); but we’d also love to work with qualified, skilled, confident engineers who are adaptable and fancy the challenge that food manufacturing offers.

We have a range of shift patterns and working hours available and rates of pay are £35,000 to £49,000pa / £15 to £21ph, depending on skills and experience
