We are working with a key client located in the Borough of Swale who have a new opportunity to add a skilled Fabricator Welder to their Engineering Team.

The role will see the successful person undertake the necessary reactive and planned works to maintain a variety of handling and moving equipment and associated hardware and PPE units to the required standards and minimise any downtime in work output.

Ideally multi-skilled, you will have good mechanical (hydraulic/conveyors) and electrical knowledge and previous experience of MIG welding and machine maintenance is essential.

Experience/Qualifications

* Previous experience in fabrication

* Experience with working with plant and machinery

* Willing to work in a dusty environment and able to react quickly to problems and prioritise workload.

* Energetic with a commitment to the job is essential, such that you are aware at all times of what is happening in the departments and continually work proactively to improve downtime.

* Must be computer literate (i.e. Excel, outlook)

* Ability to communicate data and information clearly and accurately

* Have a Forklift Licence or willing to learn (training will be provided)

* Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Environment legislation ideally gained in waste/metals industry

* Mig Welding Experience

* Knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulics and PLCs (programmable logical controllers)

* Can work 5 out of 7 days with flexible start and finish times including weekends shifts
