HEAD OF BROKER SUPPORT - to £50,000 City of London
This is a full-time position at a small Lloyd's of London broker based in the City of London, responsible for servicing a worldwide portfolio of UK and international clients.
The role will suit someone with 10 years or more of experience in the US specialty liability sector who also has experience managing and training a young team.
The successful candidate will be joining a fast-growing company in a fast-paced environment.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
ï·Managing a team whose responsibilities are the production of all placement documentation and processing of risk information on a range of platforms, including Xchanging, PPL and IBS.
ï·Training technicians in all aspects of documentation production, processing and client support.
ï·Liaising with the Professional Risks, Management Liability & Financial Institutions and Tech Media & Cyber broking teams to ensure that the highest quality slips and endorsements are prepared for the market.
ï·Liaising with the broking teams to assist with wording amendments and complex coverage changes.
ï·Overseeing preparation of quotes, evidence of cover letters and premium invoicing.
ï·Managing relationship with Xchanging.
ï·Liaising with the accounts department to support late premium collection etc.
ï·Participating in client / underwriter meetings to provide value-added advice on coverage.
Key attributes and experience
The ideal candidate will have had at least 10 years of experience in processing insurance contracts and client documentation in a broker dealing with large complex US professional and financial lines clients, including D&O, PI, FI and cyber liability.
The successful candidate will be a bright team player, with exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written). In addition, the candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills.
They should also have a keen eye for detail, and an enthusiastic and pragmatic approach to meeting client service level agreements.
