Our Client, an independent, family run company with an excellent reputation, is now looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader, to support and assist the Warehouse Management Team. You will be an intermediary between transport and warehouse personnel. You will also be responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehouse operation.

The Role: Warehouse Team Leader

Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives

Maintain communications with the warehouse management team as required

Allocate the workload in line with the daily plan:

Ensure the timely picking of orders in line with departure schedules

Coordinate the timely unloading of vehicles

Coordinate the loading of vehicles

Manage performance targets in line with company KPIs

Identify training needs to ensure all operatives are trained in accordance with company operating procedures

Develop your team to ensure that all talent is spotted and developed

Take ownership of your area and maintain a drive for perfection

Completing Daily/weekly/monthly reports

Ensure equipment has the relevant checks made and records maintained



Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Warehouse Team Leader

Experienced Man Management skill

Knowledge of H&S

Experience of Multi-user Logistics/Distribution preferable

Effective problem solving, with a solutions focus and strong knowledge in WMS's - Red Prairie is of benefit

Positive attitude and a professional approach

Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude

Competent systems user - WMS & MS Office
