Climbing Arborist/Tree Surgeon

Our client is an industry leader within landscaping services, supplying all aspects of professional arboricultural and tree surgery requirements to a variety of customers ranging from private householders to commercial sectors including local authorities.  They are currently looking for experienced and qualified lead and secondary climbers to join their hardworking and busy team based in the South East.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in tree surgery; hold a valid CSCS card as well as relevant tree surgery and chainsaw qualifications. You will also have experience in reading risk assessments and method statements.

As a Climbing Arborist/Tree Surgeon you will be providing services across various commercial contracts. You will maintain a high quality of workmanship and health and safety on all sites and be proactive in ensuring efficiency on each project.

The ideal Climbing Arborist/Tree Surgeon will hold the following skills and experiences:


Demonstrable experience in tree surgery/specialist arboricultural worksHold CS30/31/38/39 or equivalentHold a valid CSCS cardPossess a Full driving licenceHave a Positive attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and customer service skills as you will be dealing with the publicBe self-motivatedHave excellent attention to detailReliable, punctual and well-presented  
Advantageous Skills:


Hold CS40/41 or equivalentCommercial crown reduction/local authority contact experienceMEWP AccreditationFirst Aid (Forestry)Chapter 8 signing, lighting and guarding
 

Your duties as a Climbing Arborist/Tree Surgeon will include:


Working within the landscaping and tree works team on a variety of commercial projectsPruning, removing and providing any other tree surgery actions as appropriate as per client requirementsAccurately identifying trees in readiness for worksBeing adept at utilising appropriate tooling to complete tasks to a high qualityKeeping updated in relevant professional training and refreshersBe proactive in monitoring risk and responsible for own health and safety and that of those around youEnsuring high quality finishes in keeping with company requirementsEnsuring internal quality assurance, risk assessment and health and safety paperwork is up to date and held in accordance with internal policyEnsuring all tooling, plant and materials are kept in good order, reporting damage to vehicles and tooling to the line manager in a timely mannerAttending training as requiredAny other duties as reasonably identified
Salary:

£34,000 per annum depending on experience
