Technical Implementation Manager

Technical Implementation Manager - £50,000 - Hastings. My client, a rapidly growing healthcare based service provider, based in Hastings, are looking for a Technical Implementation Manager to join the company as they embark on a period of sustained growth. You will be responsible for the delivery of the technical aspects of the organisation's strategic programme of works. Managing a newly created team within the IT department and working closely with the programme team, you will be a pivotal contributor to the 'future tech strategy,' which aims to deliver the technology platform that will enable them to achieve strategic objectives. The size and composition of the Technical Implementation Team will flex depending on the requirements of the programme at the time, as well as the wider company strategy. You will be managing a small team of varied IT engineers at all times but will be able to second staff from other teams when required.

To be successful in this post you will possess an operational understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and change management. You will have an ability to design and deliver technical solutions to support functional requirements, be able to work with SME's, technical, and non-technical colleagues to develop solutions from the 'ground up,' and will be responsible for designing and proposing solutions with autonomy, whilst ensuring they meet the known constraints of the underlying infrastructure and technology. You will have demonstrable experience delivering to milestones whilst working within a project governance structure that incorporates change management, risk management and strategic planning. Attention to detail whilst still delivering to timescales which will sometimes be challenging is a must. You will be a self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills. You will be able to manage a transient team of technical and SME resources. You will have excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills as well as an understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.

The role's key responsibilities will be to own and lead the delivery of the technical aspects of a wide ranging and long term strategic programme of works. This is an innovative and ambitious programme which aims to provide the company with scalable, resilient and high performing technology solutions. Whilst remaining under the overall direction of the IT department, the job holder will be expected to work closely with the Programme Design Authority in designing and formulating technical solutions for all component projects, many of which are expected to be large and strategically critical to the delivery of the programme objectives. Additionally, you will have a close relationship with both the Head of Programme Delivery and the Project Management Team, while providing technical feedback and advice at project meetings and throughout the lifecycle of the various projects. You will be expected to take on and own both technical and some non-technical actions and activities assigned at project meetings and will be expected to deliver timely technical solutions in line with the schedule of programme of works. The programme being worked on will fundamentally underpin the strategy for future growth and market consolidation, providing a better, more intuitive and user-friendly platform for their users.

The Technical Implementation Manager that would fit well in this role will come from an IT background with a broad range of skills and experience, primarily in networking, infrastructure, service delivery and project management. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of delivering wide scale change via IT solutions and have experience working with software development teams as part of such delivery.

You will ideally have:

* Some experience leading or managing a team; ideally cross-functional

* Experience working in a busy IT Operations / Service Desk environment

* Experience leading the delivery of IT projects that are fundamental to the success of an organisation

* Project management and delivery experience would be seen as a distinct advantage

* Experience of working on cloud-based solutions would be seen as a distinct advantage

Ideal technical skills: (an ability to demonstrate experience in as many of the following technologies is a distinct advantage)

* Cisco, networking, routing, security

* Wintel server

* Microsoft Infrastructure Services

* Cloud Services (Azure/ AWS)

* SQL Server administration

* Microsoft Developer Stack particularly Microsoft .NET

* ITIL (IT service management)

As a Technical Implementation Manager with this company you will receive a basic salary of up to £50,000 as well as a generous annual bonus, a package of benefits and 25 days holiday (33 when including Bank Holidays).
