We are currently seeking a high calibre Financial Controller to join a highly regarded and continually investing international business based in Kent.

As a result of ongoing successes, this newly created role has arisen, presenting an exciting opportunity to join a key division within the group.

Reporting to a driven and passionate Finance Director you will take on a broad and key position within the division and wider group.

Key responsibilities will include the following

- Management and development of a commercially focused Financial Control team in respect to the management of processes and controls as well as providing relevant review and commentary to provide commercial support to the senior leadership team.
- Successfully oversee month-end, quarter-end and annual close processes.
- Continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes - utilising continual investment in business technology to increase efficiency.
- Work to ensure on an ongoing basis that processes and controls are globally aligned, consistent and coordinated.
- Share best practice across the team and department.
- Develop key insights that can be used by the business to drive performance.
- Manage internal and external audit requirements.
- Implement audit conclusions to ensure best practice across the team.
- Manage key relationships across the group
- Support the delivery of functional financial initiatives.
- Establish new business and finance procedures to help drive best practice across the team.
- Foster and embody a culture of collaboration across the functions, divisions and company

Applicants must possess the following:

- Previous management experience
- Experience of a divisional/ functional reporting structure within a medium to large sized global company.
- Previous experience in a Group role at a FTSE 250 company would be preferable but not essential
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities with excellent influencing capability in driving key decisions through to successful conclusions.

- Ability to manage IT systems and related projects
