Our Client based in Dover, is looking for a Customs Systems Manager. This will suit a person with use and knowledge of Customs Clearance Systems and understanding of Customs application set up and integration. You will be a key player in the digital transformation team, to drive business implantation and change management for Customs, through the responsibilities of systems analysis, requirements definition and management, business process testing and benefits management. To review, research and implement Customs processes, application and systems for the group customs services.
Your Responsibilities:
*
Make sure outcomes are aligned with the digital strategy of the Group for current and future Customs services, with the initial focus on Brexit;
*
Investigative existing processes, interaction with business units and systems utilised to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information and document management, practices, procedures, and organisation change;
*
Manages selection/creation of relevant scenarios for testing and ensures that tests reflect realistic operational business conditions;
*
Ensure tests and results are documented, reported to stakeholders and are available for specification of user instructions;
*
Provides systems guidance and training to users to ensure that the system is used in an appropriate manner.

Continual review of internal customs operations processes to streamline and make use of latest technology to reduce manual interaction

Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives
*
Analyses, designs, plans, executes and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets.
*
Analyse requirements and advises on scope and options for continuous operational improvement
*
Takes all requirements into account when making proposals.

Demonstrates creativity, innovation in applying solutions
You must be fully conversant with all aspects of Customs procedures and keep yourself informed regarding Brexit.
