Our client, a Kent Charity, is currently looking to recruit a registered Nurse to join their team on temporary to permanent basis for an hourly rate of £15.50 per hour plus bonuses.



As the Registered Nurse, you will…

* Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
* Be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration.
* Ensure compliance with clinical governance framework.
* Report on the condition of residents to the Home Manager and, when necessary, to the General Practitioner.
* Always ensure current, accurate and complete communication of clinical and care information with colleagues.
* Plan and evaluate residents' individual care plans.
* Liaise with the General Practitioner and wider multi-disciplinary team as required.
* Maintain accurate, up to date records of residents' progress and condition.
* Carry out pre-admission assessments for new residents at the home and off-site.
* Participate in arranging diets and monitoring residents' dietary needs.
* Participate in the admission and discharge of residents, including the care of their personal property.
* Welcome relatives and visitors and ensure their needs are met.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
* Assist in the orientation and induction of new staff and with in-house training.



Person Specification:

* Be a Registered Nurse.
* Valid NMC pin.
* Have a strong interest in working in Adult care services and a desire to make a difference.
* Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
* Experience of medication management.
* Understanding of MCA and DOLS.
* Understanding of Safeguarding Processes.
* Must be flexible and able to meet the working pattern demanded by this post.
* Direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting those with disabilities is preferable.
* Experience working as a Nurse in Adult care services or with people with disabilities is preferable.
* Experience in clinical assessments and care planning and associated documentation is ideal but not essential.
* Clean driving license and access to own vehicle in order to carry out pre-admission assessments for potential new residents is ideal but not essential.
