We are recruiting on behalf of a large manufacturing company based in the Medway Towns who are seeking a Machine Operator who has experience as a team leader or looking to move into a new role to supervise a team of production operatives.
The main duties of the role will be to provide an effective and efficient production support for site operations. This includes the organisation of the operatives day-to-day duties, helping to deliver consistently first class products to agreed quality standards.
This is very much a 'hands on' role and does involve some manual handling so the successful candidate will be required to be physically fit, with an excellent record for Health and Safety. You will have a strong SHE awareness along with strong communication and leadership of manufacturing teams. Forklift licence is an advantage.
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing and batch production systems is advantageous.
Hours of work are based around Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 6.00pm. Overtime on a Friday.
Initially on a temporary basis this role will be permanent for the right candidate.
