West Borough Primary School is very excited to be starting our own After School Club provision from September 2020, following the successful running of our Breakfast Club provision for the past 12 years.

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed staff to support the After School provision of Acorns Club, for up to 50 pupils a session.

Our after school provision will run from 3.10pm-6pm daily, term-time only, in our school hall.

The successful candidates will have experience of working in an extended schools provision. The children are at the heart of everything we do at West Borough Primary School and believe this to be the case from the minute they step through the door in the morning, until they leave our care.

PLAYWORKER
Hours: Maximum of 20 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement (2.30pm to 6.30pm). There is the offer of flexiblity in hours and the option to work less than 5 days a week. Please telephone the school to discuss these options.

Essential Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene

DEPUTY MANAGER
To support our Senior Leadership Team and the new Extended School's Manager in setting up and running our extended schools provision, Acorns Club, for up to 50 pupils a session.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an extended schools provision and be influential in the shaping of this new Club for our school.

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children is met at all times
• supporting the Manager in leading a team of staff/playworkers
• providing stimulating and well planned, play-based experiences
• building strong relationships with parents ensuring they feel valued and supported

Hours: 20 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement (2.30pm to 6.30pm)

Essential Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 full and relevant qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene

MANAGER
To support our Senior Leadership Team in setting up and running our extended schools provision, Acorns Club, for up to 50 pupils a session.

The successful candidate will have experience of running an extended schools provision and be influential in the shaping of this new Club for our school.

Our provision will run from 7.30am-8.40am and 3.10pm-6pm daily, term-time only, in our school hall.

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children is met at all times
• leading a team of staff/playworkers
• providing stimulating and well planned, play-based experiences
• being proactive and showing commitment to ensuring that all children attending the setting, receive high quality care, are kept safe and
receive stimulating play experiences, which meet their individual needs and interests
• building strong relationships with parents ensuring they feel valued and supported

Hours: 30 hours per week, term-time only, 39 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement (7.15am to 9.15am/2.30pm to 6.30pm)

Essential Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 full and relevant qualification

Desirable Qualifications: Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene
