Trainee Underwriting Assistant

Our client, a city based Marine Insurer is currently seeking a recent school leaver to join their busy Underwriting team. The successful candidate will be provided with full training and study support towards Cert CII Qualification.
Duties Include:
·Dealing with broker enquiries
·Dealing with new enquiries - research on prospective clients
·Underwriting analysis of current and prospective accounts
·Preparing quotes / indications for proposal
·Preparing renewal indications for proposal
·Confirmation of vessel declarations by email for entry onto covers
·Assistance with company marketing / events
·Dealing with claims and underwriting matters with claims handlers
·Liaising with Class underwriters on business travel - providing support from head office
·Covering and handling Class underwriters day to day work when not in the office
·Administration of policy documentation
·Liaise with finance department on credit control matters
·Meeting and greeting of clients and brokers
·Ad-hoc projects - e.g. claims data analysis / statistical research
Suitable candidates will be recent school leavers looking for their first role within the Insurance Industry
