UNDERWRITING OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR - c£30,000
The Underwriting Operations Administrator supports the underwriting teams in writing business on behalf of the company, the capacity providers and other stakeholders. The Underwriting Operations Administrator is responsible for the administration of risks, capturing risk data and risk reporting and for the continuous improvement of the underwriting administration process.
The major areas of activity managed by the Underwriting Operations Administrator include:
Inputting risk data into the underwriting system at all stages of the risk assessment and underwriting process
Managing underwriting documentation
Producing reports for internal and external stakeholders
Project development of the underwriting system
Establishing workflows and processes
Continuous improvement of the underwriting administration process

Specific Responsibilities
Timely and accurate capture of Energy and Space risk data in the Underwriting administration system
Ensure that underwriting files are complete and contain all relevant documents
Develop, implement and document the processes of risk data capture
Carry out sanctions checks and licence checks on insured entities and territories and inform the underwriting teams of issues
Liaise with underwriting teams and finance to monitor the timely receipt of underwriting data
Liaise with underwriting teams and finance to address data deficiencies and related issues eg tax schedules and premium discrepancies

Reporting and documentation
Manage Energy and Space underwriting documentation in the underwriting administration system and the shared drive
Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Competencies
A general understanding of the underwriting process
A general understanding of underwriting documentation from quote to bound slip
Experience of maintaining insurance underwriting systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Outlook
Strong interpersonal skill, Accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical thinking and numeracy

Education and Experience
Educated to GCSE A level or equivalent
CII qualification preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience
