FNOL Claims Handler
Barker Munro, the insurance recruitment specialists, is pleased to be working with this fantastic, well established company who specialise in claims management and who are currently looking to expand their FNOL claims team with the addition of a claims handler.
Working within FNOL claims is very fast paced where you will take the initial instruction from the policyholder, providing world class, full lifecycle claims handling and to act as the primary customer contact in managing a portfolio of Home Emergency claims.
As a First Notification of Loss claims handler, you will handle a variety of home emergency and domestic claims on behalf of policyholders.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Providing excellent call handling service to customers/stakeholders
• Setting customer expectations ready for the claims journey
• Expertly validating claims with application of indemnity and fraud knowledge with the use of internal systems
• Building policy-holder confidence by developing rapport and listening to each and every policy holder specifically
• Checking that the policy covers the claims
• Taking a methodical approach to each claim and working through the processes with each policy holder
• Managing a high volume portfolio of fast paced claims through prioritising by individual circumstances from set up to settlement
• Liaising between internal teams, third party suppliers and policy holders, ensuring that all are updated to ensure the smooth and timely progression of claims

A knowledge and background in call handling and ideally within claims handling is required for this role but consideration will also be given to your CV if you have a proven record of handling customer details and delivering telephone service to customers.
