Due to continued growth in our clients specialist area we are seeking applications from an experienced Mechanical Design & Development Engineer seeking to take up a role at a respected and growing business based in the heart of Swale. The role will see the successful person supporting the business to deliver innovative and world leading solutions to a range of international business partners. Experience in Special Purpose Machinery Design would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will have design experience gained in a mechanical manufacturing/production setting, be and expert with 3D CAD systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor and be able to relate to machinery manufacturing protocols which will include CE marking/UKPA and PUWER directives. You will be involved in developing, designing and re-configuring both standard and bespoke systems and be confident to join an existing team and add value quickly.

This is a project orientated environment - with this role being involved in several projects at different stages of the design process and liaison across external client, supply chain, procurement, production teams will be necessary - so strong and effective communication skills will be expected. Along with this the demonstrable ability to manage timely completion of projects within an agreed budget.

Ideal candidates will have achieved education to HND, Degree or equivalent, have the necessary 3D CAD skills, manufacturing knowledge and ISO/CI experience. Any experience in Special Purpose Machinery Design would be ideal.
