Serious Youth Violence Team
Location: Dartford, Gravesend, Medway, Swale, Sevenoaks
Includes extensive evening and weekend work

Roles available:
Youth Mentors (Protect): 5 x full-time (37 hours p/w) & 1 x part-time (18.5 hours p/w)
Youth Mentor (Prevent): 1 x full-time (37 hours p/w) & 1 x part-time (18.5 hours p/w)
Participation and Positive Activities Worker: 1 x part-time (18.5 hours p/w)

Salus is seeking to employ a multi-skilled team of experienced, talented and motivated practitioners to drive our innovative new Serious Youth Violence Service.

Salus has a long history of delivering ‘cutting edge’ services to children and young people who need our support the most. Youth violence has devastating consequences for individuals, families, communities and society at large. We believe that children and young people involved in gangs, youth violence or any form of exploitation, are first and foremost, vulnerable and in need of support and protection.

Through funding obtained by Kent County Council, in collaboration with Kent Police and Medway Council, the new service will work creatively, using evidence of what works, to support children, young people, their families and communities to both prevent and tackle serious youth violence. We want to ensure young people are supported to build their resilience and move away from violence and harm.

Quite simply, the team we are creating needs to be the best. We are driven to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people and relentless in our pursuit of excellence in all services for them.
