JOB TITLE: Finance & Payroll Officer

SALARY: £25K-£26K

LOCATION: Dover

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm with 1 hour for lunch

BENEFITS: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, car parking provided and staff benefits through perk box

The company we're recruiting for are working to strict social distancing guidelines at this time and for successful applicants MS Teams interviews will take place with the Financial Controller who we know well - your new Manager is extremely friendly and supportive!

As a Finance & Payroll Officer your role is split: 70% Finance and 30% Payroll. Your daily tasks would be to:

* Input Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger invoices and credit notes onto Sage accounting system
* Input all payments and receipts to relevant Sage Ledgers
* Maintain Sage Nominal ledger inputs
* Input month end journals as required from the Management Accountant
* Process monthly payroll department cross charges
* Maintain Sage processing as required
* Reconcile payroll control accounts and input to Sage
* Reconcile Management Information with Financial Information and Invoices as per procedures
* Liaise with the payroll processor to ensure the appropriate information is accurately submitted to complete the monthly salary payments in a timely manner
* Manage the cash requirements for all relevant services
* Develop cash control systems for all relevant services
* Ensure payment details are correctly recorded and updated to take account of changes in addresses, bank accounts etc.
* Liaise with customers re. overdue accounts, produce monthly statements via Sage
* Maintain files of invoices/credit notes required to form part of the audit file

Skills required for this position:

* Experience working as a Finance Officer
* A strong up-to-date knowledge of Sage and Payroll legislation
* A strong level of Payroll Software Experience
* Excellent computer skills, particularly of MS Excel and Finance applications
* Demonstrable experience of accurately and successfully advising managers on a wide range of financial/payroll matters
* Capability to collect, analyse and disseminate data for Finance reports and KPI purposes
