My client is an established and growing firm based in West Kent. They are currently recruiting for a Accounts Assistant/Semi-Senior to join their team.

Your role will be to work closely with the clients, taking responsibility for supporting a portfolio in order to services their client base in the preparation of their accounts, payroll, credit control and tax returns. You will provide bookkeeping services, preparing VAT returns, supporting the general accounts and tax teams where required and working as part of a small but professional team. You will work in a team reporting to the Accounts Manager and Senior Manager.

The role includes:
- Bookkeeping using Sage Line 50 and Xero
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Providing support on payroll and other compliance issues including company secretarial when needed.
- Working with the Tax team and providing support where appropriate.

Additional Information:
This role would be ideal for an AAT or ACCA student or someone looking to take up their studies and someone who is keen to broaden experience and perhaps develop their skills and continue with their studies, (full study support will be given). You must have strong communication skills and have an analytical and proactive approach and be happy to work as a part of a team and engage with clients.

Hours are 9-5, with an hour`s lunch. Flexible working or part-time/reduced hours can be offered.
Paid parking on completion of probation period.
