Job Title: Production Shift Manager

HRGO are currently recruiting for a production shift manager, on behalf of a global manufacturing company based in Folkestone.



Our client specialise in the manufacturing and distribution of FMCG and supply products all over the world on a 24/7 operation.



The successful applicant will have proven track history of working in a FMCG environment which will also need to be evidenced, as well as having experience working at a shift manager / production manager level.



Lean or Six Sigma experience of continuous improvement would be advantageous for this role.



Key Duties:



To effectively manage teams of operators working alongside high speed automated machinery.

To monitor and improve production efficiency.



To up-skill operators and to manage the labour on the production lines, being aware of overhead costs.

Holding meetings / handover to ensure smooth transitions in-between shifts.



Audit processes and meetings to maintain high standards.



Having overall responsibility for all employees out of hours as well as production employees during normal work hours.



Liaise closely with other shift managers and department managers (there will be 4 other shift managers and 4 DMs)



Our client has vastly developed over the years and the main bulk of production is automated, therefore as a shift manager you will need to have knowledge around the automated machinery and high speed lines.



The ideal candidate for this role would have previous shift manager experience, ideally within Pharma, food, FMCG, medical devices or personal care products.



Hours of work



Our client operate a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, consisting of days and nights between the hours of 0600 and 1800.



The shift manager would follow a rotating pattern and must be flexible and able to work day and night shifts.
