Our Client are seeking for a reliable housekeeper with an Enhanced DBS you will be rreporting to: Home Manager or Senior Housekeeper

Purpose of Role:

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home and ensure that there is an adequate supply of clean linen, towels and Resident's personal clothing. Participate in the delivery of kind care through supporting Carers in providing Person Centred Care. You must hold a valid Enhance DBS Check.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability's

To take account of Resident's needs and activities before and during undertaking housekeeping duties, Safeguarding the dignity and respect of all Residents at all times.

To ensure a high standard of cleanliness of Resident's rooms, the general communal areas and facilities, following H&S procedures.

Minimise the potential spread of infections by applying and understanding infectious control procedures.

Report to the Home Manager or Maintenance Operative any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard. Ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy - on a daily basis: wash down washers, dryers and laundry bags; clean lint trays / vents; mop floors.

To ensure that personal laundry is correctly returned to the Resident for use after laundering, drying and ironing.

Contribute to the care and well-being of Residents through the demonstration of kindness, person centred care and Health & Safety.

Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, Colleague, self or another.

Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures

Person Specification Essential Desirable Evidence Qualifications and Knowledge

NVQ Level 2 Cleaning or willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 Cleaning.

Time Management Attention to detail IT skills Numeracy.

Working as part of a team in a busy people focused environment..

Experience of working within schedules and following written instructions.
