We have an excellent opportunity based in the Swale area for a highly experienced Finance Manager to work on a temporary basis on a part-time basis within a busy educational environment.

The role will require you to work closely with the HR and Business Manager carrying out a robust management of the finances of the establishment.

You will be require to look after the budget preparation and monitoring ensuring that there is effective control of income and expenditure and that compliance with procurement regulations adhered to. You will work with various parties to ensure that resources are optimised and that value for money is obtained at all times.

The role will require you to carry out monthly bank reconciliations, prepare monthly direct debit payment runs and monthly payroll journals as well. You will authorise all invoices, ensuring that valid purchase orders have been supplied and that nominal postings are correct.

There will be the preparation of the annual VAT returns that have to be carried out in conjunction with the necessary regulatory bodies and you will also be responsible for the preparation of schedules regarding the year end accounts.

There will be other duties alongside these and the role will be a very busy and rewarding one.

You will be required to work on a part-time basis of 25 hours per week. There can be some flexibility with the hours of work however there will be a requirement to work certain days to fit in with other members of team.

Previous experience is essential ideally within an educational environment. This a temporary role with an immediate start and is not tern time only.
