The role: Working as part of Porchlight’s street outreach team, your job will be to support young people (16-25) who are homeless. You will help them into find safe accommodation, and to access any other support they need.

The young people you work with will have complex needs - possibly related to mental health or substance misuse. As a result, they may find it difficult to accept help from traditional support services. Part of your job will be developing trust with young rough sleepers and encouraging them to accept help.

This role requires:
-A patient and compassionate approach to helping young people
-The ability to take part in early morning and late evening street outreach session
-A good communicator who can build trusting relationships with people who are homeless
-The ability to identify and support people who have drug and alcohol addictions.
